M.W. Rentals & Services, Inc. did not originally start as a rental and oil field service company.

It originally started in 1983 as Morres Welding Service. Morres VanBeveren, owner of the business performed contract welding jobs from 1983 to 1996 for various industries, mostly to the oil & gas industry, which is now known as the Eagle Ford Shale.

During those thirteen years, his oil field welding business slowly subsided for the most part. Morres was forced to do odd jobs to keep his business afloat. These jobs were as odd as uprooting huisache (weesatch) trees from South Texas and transferring them to a brand new fifteen story building complex in Houston for landscaping.

By 1996, Morres had come to the conclusion that he did not want to be a contract welder for the rest of his life. One day while welding in the hot Texas summer sun, he inquired with a oil company representative, if he would rent a pump from him, if he were to build one to the companies specifications. The company man said yes, and a new business model was sparked in Morres.

Morres succeeded in getting his business name spread among the oil rigs, but the oil companies continued to think it was for welding services only, because of the name. That is when the switch to M.W. Rentals & Services took place. What started as one small pump in 1996 has now turned into numerous types of rental equipment and oil field services.

MW’s main headquarters is based out of Victoria, Texas, with three satellite yards: two in Victoria, and one in Dilley.

The company was founded on hard work and sweat, and it continues to grow and expand with creativity of new services and equipment rentals.
