At 15,384 hours, the servicing CAT dealer REBUILT this CAT 816B Compactor's engine including:
Cam bearings
Cam shaft & followers
Cylinder packs
Fuel injectors
REBUILT fuel pump
Turbo
Cylinder head
Water pump
Oil pump
All NEW bearings & seals
Dyno tested engine
REBUILT the Transmission, Torque & Transfer Case including:
Rebearing & resealed all components
Transmission pump
Bench tested once complete
Rebearing & resealed all 4 final drive assemblies
Rebearing & resealed both differential assemblies
Rebearing & resealed rear axle oscillation assembly
Installed NEW hydraulic pumps
Upgraded radiator from folded core to modular cores
All required hoses & tubes were replaced

Machine was sand blasted & painted

Upon arrival at our yard, all guards & covers were removed & the machine was power washed
Completed visual & operational inspections
Changed engine oil & filter
Filter was cut open & checked for contaminants - clean
Changed transmission oil & filter, filter cut open & checked - clean
Checked suction screens - good
Changed hydraulic oil & filter, filter checked - clean
Changed fuel filter
Both differential oil levels are good & the oils are clean
All 4 wheel planetary levels good & oils clean
Checked rear axle oscillation - good
Checked center articulation - good
Resealed steering cylinders & installed NEW pins & bearings
Resealed blade lift cylinder & installed NEW bearings
Checked all brake lines
Installed NEW blade mounting caps & bolts
Installed NEW fan belts
Installed NEW a/c compressor belt
Repaired rear axle brake system
REBUILT parking brake (NEW shoes)
Inspected & greased all u-joints on driveshaft
Checked all gauges, controls, lights & heater
Load tested batteries & checked all connections
Checked all grease lines & greased machine
Checked engine high & low idle
Checked torque converter stall speed
Checked all transmission pressures
Checked all hydraulic pressures
Completed all mechanical repairs
Unit will soon enter our paint facility where it will be sand blasted, primed, painted & new decals applied
